Abstract : The Deccan Traps are one of the largest volcanic provinces in the world, famous worldwide as well for their magnificent crystallizations of zeolites and other associat ed minerals such as apophyllite or powellite. The Lonavala (Lonavale) quarry recently yielded excellent specimens of green fluorapophyllite and surely the best specimens ever found of mesolite and probably of cavansite and pentagonite.
